The video, titled "Unlocking Plant Breeding Innovation for the Future of our Food Systems," brings together leading voices from research institutions, companies, and farming organizations to discuss the critical role of new breeding technologies in developing climate-resilient crops.
Plantik's CEO Ying Shao highlighted the company's innovative approach, combining machine learning and cloud computing to identify genomic targets for trait improvement.
“With this method, the final product - the new plant - does not contain any foreign genetic material, which means we can reach the same result as conventional breeding, but much faster.”
