Plantik Presents at AgFunder GROW Demo Day in Singapore
Plantik's CEO and co-founder Ying Shao presented at the AgFunder GROW Impact Accelerator Demo Day in Singapore, showcasing the company's innovative approach to developing climate-resilient crops and announcing that Plantik will commence new fundraising in early 2025.
The Demo Day, held during Singapore International Agri-Food Week, marked the culmination of the six-month GROW Impact Accelerator program, which selected eight startups from a highly competitive pool of applicants from 74 countries.
As part of the fifth and final cohort, Plantik demonstrated how its technology accelerates the development of heat-tolerant crops through genome editing, addressing urgent challenges in global food security. The presentation highlighted the company's progress in developing climate-resilient tomatoes and its go-to-market plans in South and Southeast Asian markets.
The GROW Impact Accelerator program has provided Plantik with valuable opportunities to strengthen its network in Asia and establish key partnerships.
