Plantik Presents at CROP Innovation & Business Conference in Ghent
Plantik's CEO and co-founder Ying Shao joined leading industry experts at the 2024 CROP Innovation & Business conference in Ghent to discuss public-private partnerships in crop innovation.
The CROP Innovation & Business conference, a key industry event, brought together researchers, companies, and innovation leaders to explore solutions for global food security and crop resilience.
Ying presented Plantik's work within the awarded TKI consortium, highlighting the company's progress in accelerating quinoa and lupin breeding in collaboration with Wageningen Plant Research, RADICLE Crops, and Lekker Lupine. The presentation was part of a distinguished panel featuring Professor Jonathan Jones from The Sainsbury Laboratory, Trey Key from Gates Agricultural Innovations, and Professor Guido Van den Ackerveken, Scientific Director of CropXR.
The session focused on how public-private partnerships accelerate the development of resilient food crops, showcasing programs like CropXR, PlantXR, Next Generation Crops, and AgOne. Plantik's experience as an innovative startup working within such partnerships provided valuable insights into translating research into practical solutions.
