Plantik invited to the Crop Innovation & Business Conference 2022

Plantik was invited to the Crop Innovation & Business Conference 2022 in Ghent, Belgium, to present its innovative approach to plant breeding and the use of new biotechnologies on hemp.

In a session titled “New crops for sustainable & healthy products”, Plantik’s CEO, Ying, gave a talk and shared the floor with two other innovative European companies breeding soybeans and potatoes.

Positive trends in legislations around genome editing technologies in agriculture are well received by the participants to the conference. It is believed that these trends will drive the innovations further and amplify their positive impact on climate change, food security, and human health. Crop innovation will continue to play a key role in ensuring a resilient future for all, and increasing the diversity in our plant consumption means less dependence on a limited number of crops and geographies.
